Basketball Recap: Wakeland Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Wakeland and Memorial squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Wakeland had to settle for second. They fell to the Memorial Warriors 46-41. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Wakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 31-7. As for Memorial, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 33-7.

Wakeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Memorial, they will face off against Monterey on Monday. Monterey knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 18 contests -- so hopefully Memorial likes a good challenge.
