After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Albemarle, Union Academy was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They breezed by the Gray Stone Day Knights to the tune of 59-15. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Kayl Starnes continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 10 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laney Hildreth, who posted nine points.

Union Academy pushed their record up to 17-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.2 points per game. As for Gray Stone Day, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Union Academy will be playing at home against South Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Union Academy is facing South Stanly at the right time seeing as South Stanly is stuck on an 18-game losing streak. As for Gray Stone Day, they will square off against Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Albemarle will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Gray Stone Day surely won't give up without a fight.
