Fannett Metal dropped their record down to 10-4 on Friday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 5-0 to the Southern Fulton Indians. The contest marked the first time this year in which Fannett Metal was not able to get on the board.

As for Southern Fulton, they pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.

For Southern Fulton's part, not much got past Owen Oakman, who gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Fannett Metal off the board. Oakman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brooks Norris, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Fitz, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
