Marquez has gone 10-0 against Maywood CES recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Marquez Gladiators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Maywood CES Wolfpack at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Marquez's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Maywood CES has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Marquez's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cravon Charles, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds, and Elyjah Staples, who went 7 for 9 en route to 17 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Maywood CES lost 62-37 to Maywood Academy on Thursday.

Marquez now has a losing record at 8-9-1. As for Maywood CES, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Marquez against Maywood CES in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 92-27 victory. In that match, Marquez amassed a halftime lead of 56-16, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
