Basketball Recap: LaBrae Vikings vs. Crestview Rebels

LaBrae has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were dealt a 74-34 defeat at the hands of the Crestview Rebels on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 63-40 back in January.

Leading Crestview to victory were Addison Rhodes and Luvrain Gaskins. Rhodes posted 27 points in addition to five boards and four steals, while Gaskins dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. The contest was Rhodes' 17th in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Lexi Blower, who scored six points and three steals.

LaBrae's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Crestview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.
