Baseball Recap: Westminster Catawba Christian Takes a Loss

Westminster Catawba Christian managed to slip by NorthPoint Christian Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Indians lost 8-1 to the NightHawks on Monday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Westminster Catawba Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Westminster Catawba Christian has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Westminster Catawba Christian will head out on the road to face off against Grace Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for NorthPoint Christian Academy, they will face off against Lee Park Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.43 runs per game on average), something the NightHawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
