Softball Preview: Carter Lions vs. Kaiser Cats
The Carter Lions will square off against the Kaiser Cats at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Carter's last matchup with Grand Terrace could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Lions lost 9-2 to the Titans. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Kaiser had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-1 win over Rialto on Thursday.
Bella Gonzalez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Rios, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Alina Aguire, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
