Baseball Game Preview: Bracken Christian Warriors vs. Sacred Heart Indians

Bracken Christian is 1-8 against Sacred Heart since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Bracken Christian will challenge Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bracken Christian comes in on seven and Sacred Heart on five.

Last Friday, Bracken Christian got the win against Valor Preparatory Academy by a conclusive 16-5.

Dalton Dresch was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in triples (two). Another player making a difference was Tristan Mahurin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Bracken Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sacred Heart). Everything went their way against Bishop Reicher Catholic on Friday as Sacred Heart made off with a 21-1 victory. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Sacred Heart pushed their record up to 19-5 with the win, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Bracken Christian, their record now sits at 9-10.

Bracken Christian might still be hurting after the 15-0 defeat they got from Sacred Heart in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can Bracken Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
