There's no place like home for Helena, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hillcrest Patriots 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won seven in a row.

Helena had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 15-7.

Monroe Bouler paced Helena's offense, picking up 13 kills. Bouler got some help from Avery Cantley and her 40 assists. Emma Clair Dunlap controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Helena's victory bumped their record up to 21-16. As for Hillcrest, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 15-19.

Coming up, Helena will be taking part in a tournament against Cold Springs at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
