Recap: Tonopah Muckers vs. Round Mountain Knights
The Tonopah Muckers won against the Round Mountain Knights two weeks ago with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Tonopah blew past Round Mountain, posting a 62-24 victory on the road. The win was familiar territory for Tonopah who now have four in a row.
Tonopah was led to victory by Dustin Otteson and Drew Otteson. Otteson gained 164 total yards and five touchdowns, while Otteson threw for 257 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Otteson is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played. Thomas Newell also helped out with an impressive 146 receiving yards.
Even if they lost, Round Mountain's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Eberle Schultz and his two sacks.
Tonopah's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Round Mountain, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-4.
Tonopah will take on Sandy Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sandy Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Round Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
