Lexington Catholic entered their tilt with Johnson Central on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-42 win over the Johnson Central Golden Eagles. That's two games straight that the Knights have won by exactly 28 points.

Despite the defeat, Johnson Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Austin Slone posted 16 points and six boards. Slone's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Rose, who scored six points and nine rebounds.

Lexington Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Johnson Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington Catholic has already played their next match (against Lafayette), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Johnson Central will square off against Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Johnson Central likes a good challenge.
