            Baseball Recap: Camden Central Lions vs. Union City Golden Tornadoes        
        
		
        
        
            The Camden Central Lions earned  an  8-5 victory over the Union City Golden Tornadoes  on Friday. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Lions.
Camden Central got a great performance from  Ethen Ingram as he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Ingram has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Camden Central let  Amaury Rogers and  Gage Johnson run wild. Rogers  scored a  run while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances, while  Johnson  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Eli Latendressee, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-4.
The  win was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Union City, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Camden Central Lions  challenge  Riverside Panthers at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Riverside has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.33  runs per game on average), something Camden Central will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Union City, they will challenge Dresden at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Union City is facing Dresden at the right time seeing as Dresden is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak.
