Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Has No Trouble Against Madonna

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tyler, Trinity Christian was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They took down the Madonna Blue Dons 60-43. The contest marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season.

Trinity Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Austin Porta, who went 10-for-14 on his way to 25 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Porta now owns an excellent 45.9% shooting accuracy. Parker Hopkins was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-13 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Madonna, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will take on Paden City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Madonna, they are taking a road trip to face off against Weir at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
