Baseball Game Preview: Thornwell Saints vs. Southside Tigers

Thornwell is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Southside a 15-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Thornwell Saints will be playing in front of their home fans against the Southside Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thornwell lost 17-1 to Abbeville on Tuesday.

Thornwell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tru'Mari Kinard-Shelton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. That hit was Kinard-Shelton's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Southside's offense. They came up short against Greenville Tech Charter on Thursday, falling 15-0.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Thornwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
