 Oak Park-River Forest had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They walked away with  a   4-1  win over the Fenwick Friars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Oak Park-River Forest also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2023.
  Aria Hammerschmidt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate,  Elyssa Hasapis was  excellent,  going 1-for-2 with a  home run. Another player making a difference was  Sofia Ayala, who  went 2-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 On Fenwick's side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Leah Lowery, who  went 2-for-3 with a  home run.
 Oak Park-River Forest is  on a roll lately: they've  won 13 of their last 14 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record  this season. As for Fenwick, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
 Oak Park-River Forest will head out on the road to  face off against  Nazareth Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Oak Park-River Forest is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Fenwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
