Basketball Recap: Missouri Valley Takes a Loss

Missouri Valley was the 29-27 winner over Riverside when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Missouri Valley Big Reds took a 46-30 bruising from the Riverside Bulldogs on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Big Reds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 91st).

Missouri Valley's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Riverside, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Missouri Valley has already played their next game (against Underwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Riverside and IKM/Manning will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
