Softball Recap: Douglas Has No Trouble Against Brindlee Mountain

Douglas never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on the Brindlee Mountain Lions with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won six games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Douglas and bumps their season record up to 8-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Brindlee Mountain, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Douglas and Brindlee Mountain will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time Douglas sees the field they'll take on Sardis at 4:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Brindlee Mountain, their break will end when they face Asbury at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
