Recap: Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams vs. Muncy Indians
The Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 86-27 loss at the hands of Muncy. While losing is never fun, Columbia Montour Vo-Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 736th, while Muncy is ranked 257th).
Leading Muncy to victory were Konnor Shearer and Noah Confer. Shearer scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Confer scored 20 points along with four steals. Confer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stiles Eyer, who scored four points along with six assists and six steals.
Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Muncy, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia Montour Vo-Tech will challenge Bucktail at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Muncy, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwest Area at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Area is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
