Soccer Recap: Niles North Takes a Loss

Niles North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deerfield Warriors. While losing is never fun, Niles North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Deerfield are ranked 59th).

Niles North's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Deerfield, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Coming up, Niles North will take on Wheaton Academy in a tournament on Saturday. As for Deerfield, they will take on De La Salle at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Deerfield's defense better be ready for this one: De La Salle have averaged an impressive 2.6 goals per game this season.
