Football Recap: Southridge Spartans vs. West Broward Bobcats

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Southridge couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the West Broward Bobcats by a score of 30-27 on Friday. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was James Perrone, who threw for 368 yards and three TDs while completing 71.8% of his passes. Jhakari Johnson was Perrone's top target, picking up 101 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

West Broward had a senior duo take command as Brandin Mincy threw for 226 yards and one TD while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt and Daquan Adderley rushed for 77 yards and one score.

Southridge's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2. As for West Broward, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
