Recap: Grafton Gators vs. Millbury Woolies
The Grafton Gators lost against the Millbury Woolies back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Grafton took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millbury. Grafton has struggled against Millbury recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Kenny Donnelly was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points for Millbury. That makes it six consecutive games in which Donnelly has scored at least a third of Millbury's points. Anthony Phillipo was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Grafton's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Millbury, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-5.
Grafton will head out on the road to face off against Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Grafton is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Massachusetts (they are ranked 28th, while Auburn is ranked 206th). As for Millbury, they will be playing at home against Northbridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Northbridge is coming into the match with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Millbury will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
