Volleyball Recap: Palmyra Panthers vs. Syracuse Rockets
Palmyra was the 2-0 winner over Syracuse when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Palmyra started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-12, 25-22.
Their offense was headlined by Dannica Hose and Grace Green, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Audrey Erhart and her 21 assists. Kenli Peterson and Kenlee Nider kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Palmyra's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Syracuse, they pushed their record up to 8-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
