Soccer Game Preview: Vanguard Academy Rembrandt vs. London

The Vanguard Academy Rembrandt Spartans will head out on the road to take on the London Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Friday, Vanguard Academy Rembrandt came up short against Hidalgo and fell 3-1. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, after a string of 17 wins, London's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Victoria West by a score of 1-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Pirates couldn't quite close it out.

Vanguard Academy Rembrandt's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for London, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.

Vanguard Academy Rembrandt couldn't quite get it done against London when the teams last played back in March of 2021 as they fell 3-1. Can Vanguard Academy Rembrandt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
