League recap: Gorman throws longest pass in league this season for Warren

Fans got a thrill when Justin Gorman and Jaylon Marshall connected against Crossett. The longest such play in 4A Region 8 this season, the connection resulted in 70 yards.

Warren took down the Eagles 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Drake Jones threw for 124 yards and ran for 14 yards during the win.

The Lumberjacks' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Trent Broughton chipped in 43 yards. Marshall helped Warren's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 82 yards.

Warren's dynamic duo of Jones and Darveon Brown proved tough for Crossett to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Marshall helped Warren's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 82 yards.

DeWitt's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Dragons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dawson Moser has thrown for 574 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Jeremy Smith has 18 catches for 315 yards.

The Lumberjacks' offense has recorded 107 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Star City has permitted only 38 on the year.

At the moment, the Bulldogs are in first, while Warren is in fifth.

Dumas led the league in scoring this week by notching 63 points on Lakeside.
