Basketball Game Preview: Wesclin Warriors vs. Hillsboro Hiltoppers

Having just played yesterday, the Wesclin Warriors will jump right back in to play the Hillsboro Hiltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Wesclin sitting on three straight victories and Hillsboro on five.

On Tuesday, Wesclin strolled past DuQuoin with points to spare, taking the game 42-26.

Meanwhile, Hillsboro blew past Mattoon, posting a 49-20 win. The Hiltoppers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season.

Hillsboro's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Wesclin, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Wesclin couldn't quite finish off Hillsboro in their previous matchup last Monday and fell 43-41. Can Wesclin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
