Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Nelson's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Nelson won the last time they faced Barlow and things went their way on Wednesday too. Nelson sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 win over the Barlow Bruins.

Nelson is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Barlow, they moved to 8-8 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Nelson and Barlow should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Nelson will face off against Reynolds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 169 places (78 vs. 247). Meanwhile, Barlow (ranked 95th) will meet David Douglas (ranked 217th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
