Chaparral posted their biggest victory since January 20, 2024 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Belle Plaine Dragons as the Chaparral Roadrunners made off with a 48-24 win. Given the Roadrunners' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Dragons are ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Belle Plaine's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Maverick Storts, who posted nine points, and Brooks Mcginnis, who had eight points and three steals.

The victory got Chaparral back to even at 2-2-1. As for Belle Plaine, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Chaparral didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 0-0 tie against Conway Springs on the 16th. As for Belle Plaine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-40 win against Douglass on the 17th.
