Basketball Recap: Murfreesboro Comes Up Short

Murfreesboro came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by the Dierks Outlaws 59-27. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while the Outlaws are ranked 36th).

Murfreesboro has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for Dierks, their win was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murfreesboro will welcome Mount Ida at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dierks, they will be playing at home against West Side at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
