McDowell waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the General McLane Lancers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Trojans also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Andrew Samluk looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because McDowell is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise. Jace O'Neill relieved him and did a solid job, tossing 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Colton Orlando, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He has become a key player for McDowell: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-4 otherwise. Maxwell Orsefskie was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

McDowell now has a winning record of 5-4. As for General McLane, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-2.

Coincidentally, McDowell and General McLane will both be playing Cathedral Prep the next time they take the field. The Lancers will host the Ramblers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Trojans will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
