Basketball Game Preview: Florence Gophers vs. Globe Tigers

Florence is on a four-game streak of home losses, Globe a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Florence Gophers will host the Globe Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Florence turned things around against Palo Verde on Friday. They strolled past the Titans with points to spare, taking the game 39-23.

Globe got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They came out on top against Apache Junction by a score of 48-36 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Florence's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16. As for Globe, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-16.

Everything went Florence's way against Globe when the teams last played last Tuesday, as Florence made off with a 49-25 win. Will Florence repeat their success, or does Globe have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
