Volleyball Recap: Cortez Colts vs. Dysart Demons
After flying high against Yuma last Monday, Cortez came back down to earth. The Cortez Colts fell just short of the Dysart Demons by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colts of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October.
Cortez took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-18, 24-26, 25-12, 15-7.
Dysart found their leader in sophomore Everlynd Walberg, who had 12 digs.
Cortez's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Dysart, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-10.
As of now, neither Cortez nor Dysart have any future games scheduled.
