Basketball Game Preview: Kingsley Stags vs. Grayling Vikings

The Kingsley Stags will head out on the road to square off against the Grayling Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kingsley has six straight wins, Grayling has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Kingsley against Kalkaska as the team secured a 58-24 victory. Given the Stags' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Blazers are ranked 559th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Grayling came up short against Boyne City on Monday and fell 56-45.

Grayling's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Kingsley, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Kingsley strolled past Grayling in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 49-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kingsley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
