Volleyball Recap: Richland Center Falls Short of Luther in the Playoffs

Richland Center and Luther squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Richland Center had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-18.

Danica Pauls paced Richland Center's offense, picking up nine kills. Pauls got some help from Raynie Walsh and her 12 assists. Pauls was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Richland Center's defeat ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 24-15. As for Luther, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-10.

Richland Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Luther, they will challenge Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
