Soccer Game Preview: Carolina Forest vs. Cape Henlopen

Carolina Forest has won four straight games at home, while Cape Henlopen has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Panthers will host the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Carolina Forest barely beat North Myrtle Beach the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 4-1 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Carolina Forest in their matchups with North Myrtle Beach: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Cape Henlopen kept a clean sheet against Christian Academy on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Saints. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Cape Henlopen's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 14th in Delaware, while Christian Academy are ranked 64th in South Carolina).

Lillian Holodick and Elizabeth Downer scored both of Cape Henlopen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Cape Henlopen's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Carolina Forest, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
