Baseball Recap: Bishop Kelley Triumphs

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Bishop Kelley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Collinsville Cardinals. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Bishop Kelley got a great performance from Cal Conroy as he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Conroy a new career-high.

Bishop Kelley's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Collinsville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-5.

Looking ahead, Bishop Kelley is taking a road trip to square off against Bishop McGuinness at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Collinsville, they will square off against Pryor at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday.
