Volleyball Recap: Brighton Takes a Loss

Brighton was the 3-0 winner over Alta when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Bengals lost 3-0 to the Hawks on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bengals have suffered against the Hawks since October 9, 2018.

While Brighton was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Alta's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 25-23.

The defeat snapped Brighton's winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 11-11 record. As for Alta, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 13-12 record.

Coincidentally, Brighton and Alta will both be playing Woods Cross the next time they take the court. The Bengals will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hawks will host them at 6:30 p.m. on the 10th.
