The Pomeroy Pirates waltzed into their game Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They put the hurt on Oakesdale with a sharp 65-39 victory. Considering Pomeroy has won four matches by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Pomeroy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Oliver Severs out in front who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. The matchup was Severs' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trace Roberts, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.

Pomeroy's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Oakesdale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
