Basketball Recap: Pisgah Bears vs. Smoky Mountain Mustangs
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pisgah). They claimed a resounding 63-17 win over the Smoky Mountain Mustangs. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bears' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Mustangs are ranked 260th).
Pisgah had a senior duo take command as Kylee Leonard shot 70% from the field to rack up 14 points and four steals and Chandler Lowery went 6-for-12 en route to 12 points along with six assists and three steals. Those 70% shooting accuracy set a new season-high mark for Leonard. Another player making a difference was Alexis Markos, who posted seven points.
