Baseball Recap: Lincoln Gets the Win

Lincoln proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Heyworth Hornets, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Railsplitters have posted since April 12th.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Heyworth, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-13.

Coming up, Lincoln will face off against Peoria Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Railsplitters are facing the Irish at the right time seeing as the Irish are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Heyworth, they will host Mahomet-Seymour at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
