Baseball Recap: Clarksville Academy Takes a Loss

Clarksville Academy was the 11-8 winner over Clarksville when they last played one another last Wednesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Clarksville Academy Cougars lost 8-2 to the Clarksville Wildcats on Monday.

Colin Hitch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Evan Leonard, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Clarksville Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Clarksville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarksville Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clarksville, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Clarksville Wildcats challenge Dickson County Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
