Zach Cwalinski Turns in Season-Best Effort
Valley View was led to victory by Zach Cwalinski, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Cwalinski rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 107 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 67 yards.
The victory was the seventh in a row for Valley View, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Cwalinski and Valley View will be playing at home against Wyoming Valley West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Abington Heights got the W thanks in part to Nick Bradley playing the best football he has all season. Bradley rushed for 31 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns. Abington Heights is 2-1 when Bradley posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise.
Bradley and Abington Heights will venture away from home to challenge Scranton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradley will face off against Brody Coyle, the Knights' star quarterback. Valley View picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Nick Kucharski. Kucharski was dynamite, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 40 receiving yards. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
This season, Kucharski has averaged 23.2 receiving yards per game.
