Baseball Game Preview: Mifflin County Huskies vs. State College Little Lions

The Mifflin County Huskies will face off against the State College Little Lions at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Mifflin County is headed into the game having just posted their closest win since May 9, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Central Dauphin 6-5. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask State College). They had just enough and edged out Altoona 9-8.

State College's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Mifflin County, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Mifflin County was able to grind out a solid victory over State College when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 10-5. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Little Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
