Football Recap: Mars Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Mars was riding high fresh off their 56-0 takedown of Knoch last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fightin' Planets lost 56-31 to the McKeesport Tigers on Friday. The Fightin' Planets haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Despite the loss, Mars still got an impressive performance from Ayden Yocum, who rushed for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Yocum really tore up the turf during one magnificent 91-yard run. Jameson Garvin was in the mix as well, providing Mars with two scores.

Mars' loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for McKeesport, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Mars wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 49-10 win against Hampton on the 17th. As for McKeesport, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 74-6 victory against Indiana on the 17th.
