Volleyball Recap: Mountain View's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Mountain View dropped their record down to 10-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's ten-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Severance Silver Knights by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountain Lions of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jackson Jensen paced Mountain View's offense, picking up 13 kills. Jensen got some help from Gabe Victor and his 27 assists. Victor was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

As for Severance, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 15th.

Severance can attribute much of their success to Eli Osborne, who had 18 digs. That's the most digs Osborne has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Zeke Wawrzyniak, who had nine digs.

Coincidentally, Mountain View and Severance will both be playing Windsor Charter Academy the next time they take the court. The Silver Knights will host the Firebirds at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Mountain Lions will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
