Volleyball Recap: Plainfield East Takes a Loss

Plainfield East lost against Joliet West back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bengals fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1. The Bengals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Plainfield East was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Joliet West work for it, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 27-25.

Plainfield East's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-10. As for Joliet West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7.

Plainfield East has already played their next matchup (against Homewood-Flossmoor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Joliet West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Prospect on the 25th.
