Baseball Recap: Poinciana Takes a Loss

Poinciana lost against Tohopekaliga back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles came up short against the Tigers, falling 18-3. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Poinciana saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Moreno, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. That triple was Moreno's first of the season.

Poinciana's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Tohopekaliga, they moved to 7-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poinciana will square off against Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tohopekaliga, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Innovation at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Tigers' favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while the Bulls have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
