Volleyball Recap: Azle Takes a Loss

Azle lost against Springtown back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets lost 3-0 to the Porcupines. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hornets have suffered against the Porcupines since August 23, 2016.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 25-19.

Springtown was led to victory by Brooklynn Quintanilla and Bailey Walker. Quintanilla had nine digs and four aces, while Walker had 13 assists and five digs. That's the most aces Quintanilla has posted since back in October of 2024. Brylee Pitts also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Azle's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Springtown, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Azle will be playing in front of their home fans against Midlothian Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Springtown, they will be taking part in a tournament against Melissa at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
