League recap: Kuhns breaks off league-leading run for Johnson County Central

Johnson County Central's Jay Kuhns recorded the longest rushing play in C2 District 2 this season in his game against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer last week. Kuhns scampered for 70 yards on the play and finished with 185 on the day as his team defeated the Titans.

Southern extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Tri County, 14-6. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.

Johnson County Central's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Grant Badertscher threw for 28 yards and Kuhns had 28 yards receiving.

Johnson County Central's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Thunderbirds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Badertscher has thrown for 51 yards and one touchdown this season, while Kuhns has two catches for 48 yards. Kuhns leads the league in rushing with 634 yards.

A big matchup in C2 District 2 this week will be when Dustin Buggi's team takes on the Trojans. At the moment, the Thunderbirds are in second, while Tri County is in third.

Johnson County Central took down Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer 48-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kuhns in the win.
