Basketball Recap: Starmont Has No Trouble Against Clayton-Ridge

Starmont had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt Clayton-Ridge on Monday. The Starmont Stars were the clear victor by a 63-42 margin over the Clayton-Ridge Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Stars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Starmont's record is now 5-7. As for Clayton-Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Starmont won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Calamus-Wheatland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Starmont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Calamus-Wheatland likes a good challenge. As for Clayton-Ridge, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against West Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clayton-Ridge is facing West Central at the right time seeing as West Central is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
