Preview: Whitney vs. Monterey Trail
The Whitney Wildcats will be playing at home against the Monterey Trail Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky.
Whitney has not lost a match since December 21, 2023, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Rocklin a 3-0 shutout.
Whitney was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Jake Tyberg and
Ryan Paduveris, who scored all three of Whitney's goals. The pair have combined for a total of seven so far this season.
Meanwhile, Monterey Trail entered their tilt with Burbank with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Monterey Trail was the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over Burbank.
Whitney's win bumped their record up to 8-3-7. As for Monterey Trail, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-7-4.
